Part of the Coda Series
Zach Mitchell is stuck in a rut. His college boyfriend left him ten years ago, but Zach still lives in the same apartment, drives the same car, and feeds his ex-boyfriend’s ungrateful cat. His Denver business, A to Z Video Rental, is struggling. He has annoying customers, eccentric neighbors, and an unfulfilling romance with his landlord, Tom.
A combat boot-wearing punk with an attitude, Angelo Green was raised in foster homes and has been on his own since he was sixteen; he has never learned to trust or to love. He doesn’t do relationships, so when Angelo takes a job at A to Z Video, he decides Zach is strictly off-limits.
Despite their differences, Zach and Angelo quickly become friends, and when Zach’s break-up with Tom puts his business on the line, it’s Angelo who comes up with a solution. Together with Jared and Matt, their friends from Coda, Colorado, Zach and Angelo will find a way to save A to Z, but will they be able to save each other too?

Mmmmm… this one didn’t speak to me as much.Zach and Angelo, yeah, somehow I don’t see it. Don’t feel it either.
I liked Angelo well enough, he’s had a hard life and didn’t let that mess him up. Much.
But Zach. Well, I don’t care for him. He was too clueless, tried my patience too much and I don’t have much of that either. And hates movies? WTF is that about xD
For the first half of the story, he’s hurting himself and Angelo in the process, by dating the biggest jerk in town. You are in his head (the story switches POV) reading what’s going on in his mind and not sure about everyone else, but I just want to slap him into next week.
I can’t let that go by and I’m not quite sure why not. We all make mistakes, it is only human.
Still.
It was dislike at first read for me with him and I cannot get over that even when he gets his head out of his ass and starts to get this life together. And finally ‘sees’ Angelo. Cause then it feels too much too fast. He’s almost in love with Angelo within the next 5 minutes.
Nope.
The story evolves naturally (also gives you some new insight into Jared and Matt relationship, how things are going with them :) Leaves you a sort of HEA with Angelo reconciling himself with ‘belonging’
Belonging in a place. Belonging with Zach. And being happy.
I’ll get the 3rd book of the series. Mostly cause by now is a 1-1 score ^^
Enjoy!

A to Z Coda Series Book 2 edition by Marie Sexton Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Zach owns a local video in a small town near Denver. Zach started working at the video store when he moved into town with his ex boyfriend. He hasn't had much ambition in life and just kind of settles and that is why his ex has left him. His business is struggling but it works out ok. One day a new landlord Tom comes into town and tells him his rent is going to go up unless they can make other arrangements. Tom and Zach start a relationship, not a relationship so much as Tom uses Zach for sex while he gives him a break on the rent. In the meantime Zach hires Angelo to help him with the video store. Angleo keeps to himself and does his job even though he thinks Zach is cute. As Angelo starts hanging out with Zach he starts to fall for him.
This book wasn't as good as the first book but I liked it. I wished for a little more character development but I did like the chemistry between Zach and Angelo. I also liked how Matt and Jared from the first book get introduced into the story. I hope this series continues to be good.
Once again, Marie Sexton has created an interesting and satisfying read with A to Z, the second book of the Coda series. Although I didn't think this book was as good as her first one, Promises, it is still worthy of recommendation to anyone looking for something with endearing characters and thought-out plot. Her two stars, Zach and Angelo, are 3-Dimensional; they each have their own distinct personalities and voices, magnified by the story's alternating points of view (which Sexton handles well). The only thing I didn't like was how Sexton wrote Tom in the story. His relationship with Zach seemed extremely fast-paced and somewhat unbelievable. While readers will understand his role in the story after reading it a bit, he was still an off-putting and awkward character. I also wish Sexton would have gone into more depth about Angelo's past, but she provides enough information throughout the book to give readers a good understanding of his actions and motives. Perhaps she tackles his childhood in her two novellas about Zach and Angelo. I also liked how Jared and Matt made an appearance in this book and even helped move the plot along. Sexton has a knack for creating stories and I love her character development. She is definitely an author I will keep my eye on and I can't wait to see what other works she puts out. If you read her first book, Promises, and loved it then you should definitely check this one out. It won't leave you disappointed.
This is a well written and very realistic romance series. I was certain I would not like this series but by the first chapter of the first book I knew I could not tear myself away. I love the style that she writes these books and then also to be a gay man to know how a femaie was able to write the feeelings a gay man would have to know in these situations. I am convinced that Marie Sexton is a gay man trapped in a woman's body.
This second book we meet the video store owner Zach who is a gay man that never realizes anything around him. The customer Angelo has been trying to meet Zach and finally got a job at the store. They started hanging out and Zach did not even realize the kid was gay. When he figured it out he could not keep from falling for the innocent Ang. Ang is not perfect and has his own problems but he is a match for Zach. Now one thing about this book that killed me was if you are in love why put Ang out to have other guys have sex with him or touch him in front of you. But you find out later in the book and through out the series that the type of love one couple has is not the same for another couple. Jared and Mike from book one appear here and become friends with Zach and Ang.
I recommend this book and the full series to escape to another world.
Zach owns the video store and Angelo comes in a lot, but is finally offered a job. Zach is "dating" his landlord and oblivious to the crappy way Tom treats him. Angelo explodes and says something. Zach needed to pull his head out and see the daylight. They move slowly, because Zach doesn't see that Angelo wants him. Makes us want to slap Zach ! Angelo is a sweetie, so smart, but pained by his crappy childhood, abandoned by his Mom, and afraid to like anyone. Once they are together, Zach finds his backbone, and they plan to move to Coda, together, and run a mini theatre and video shop. Deep thought-filled characters, hot sex, and a good plot line make this worthwhile. I loved book one "Promises" and we get to see those characters again, yeah!
Highly recommend ! ENJOY !!
